Out of camp in pitch darkness and driving along the river, suddenly a dark shape appears in the pre-dawn darkness. She was lying on the rocks in the river and I decided to switch the vehicle and the lights off. And wait. In silence. Praying to have a chance to see her at least once in the light of the day. Usually she would disappear across the river come sunrise, but this morning as the glow of light in the east appeared, she decided to walk back towards my side of the river. What began was one of the most unforgettable days in my life in the wild. One of those days when dreams and reality blend.
