Award at GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2016

ELEPHANTS ON CRACKED SOIL, Amboseli, 2012I am particularly happy to announce that my image “Elephants on Cracked Soil”, taken in Amboseli in 2012, has been awarded as Runner up in the Mammals category at the prestigious GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2016. The image is included in my book “Light and Dust” and is one of my limited edition fine-art prints. In addition, my image “Elephant Portrait in last light” has been used extensively in the award ceremony promotional material in conjunction with the Remembering Elephants project and book. Winner “African Wildlife” Category – Nature’s Best Windland Smith Rice Award 2016

ELEPHANTS INTO THE FADING SUN, Amboseli, 2012I am delighted to announce that my “Elephant Cow Portrait” won the “African Wildlife” category at the 2016 Nature’s Best Windland Smith Rice Award. The image was taken in the Masai Mara in 2011 and is featured in my book “Light and Dust”. Here you can see a beautiful video capturing the awarded images and some behind the scenes and interviews with the amazing photographers that were also awarded. Il giorno 8 Giugno 2016 alle h21.00 saro’ al Centro Culturale Candiani, in Piazzale Candiani 7 a Mestre, per presentare il mio libro Light and Dust (Luce e Polvere) in una serata organizzata dall’associazione fotografia Laguna Photografica (http://www.lagunaphotografica.com/light-dust/). Vi aspetto per una serata di immagini, racconti e storie dalle savane africane.

Il giorno 21 Maggio si e’ aperto ufficialmente il festival Selvatica che si tiene tutti gli anni a Biella. Questo festival e’ specializzato nella presentazione di opere che uniscono arte e natura, e sono particolarmente felice di essere stato invitato ad esporre 15 delle mie stampe in bianco e nero, provenienti dal libro Light and Dust.
