Masai Mara NR, Lake Nakuru NP
and Amboseli NP, Kenya -
Photographic Safaris organized by me in
collaboration with Concorde Safaris Ltd, Kenya.
For the summer season of 2012, I decided to concentrate my safaris
in Kenya on my three favorite parks, the ones that in my opinion
offer the best photographic opportunities: Masai Mara NR, Amboseli
NP and Lake Nakuru NP. The northern summer season (July to September)
coincides with the arrival of the Great Wildebeests' Migration in
the Mara and with the highest concentration of Flamingos in Lake
Nakuru.
Safaris in Kenya will be organized in collaboration with a local
tour operator, Concorde Safaris Ltd (www.concorde.co.ke). Concorde
Safaris will take care of all reservations, internal flights and
transfers within Nairobi.
Places available for each safari will be 4 on my vehicle (on 3 rows
on the Land Cruiser). These seats will be given to the first people
who will book. Additional people, for a maximum of 6, will seat on
another 4x4, guided by a professional guide, certified by KPSGA
(Silver or Gold level), chosen personally by myself.
During the safari I will give practical tips and assistance on all
photographic issues to the participants. Support will range from
technical issues related to the equipment, to more stylistic and
compositional decisions affecting the image. We will review and
discuss the images during the safari, in the breaks or while we wait
for animals to become active.
In the evening, participants will assist me as I edit, archive and
process my images, using Adobe Lightroom 3 software. Participants
will have plenty of practical examples for advanced processing
techinques.

Tailored Safaris
If you wish, it is possible to extend your stay in the Masai Mara
beyond the dates set in the programs. Please contact me to arrange.
It will also be possible on request to have the entire vehicle and
myself booked exclusively for yourself or your small group. Again,
please contact me to arrange.
For any other request, including visiting other parks not included
in the programs, please do not hesitate to contact me. We'll arrange
the safari that suits you the best!

One week with the extraordinary Elephants of Amboseli
NP, at the base of Mt Kilimanjaro. We shall photograph the Elephants
from morning to evening, their mud baths, the long walk to the
water, the fights between the bulls, the courting behavior, the
games of the newborns, the silhouettes at sunset. We'll study the
most interesting techniques to photograph these animals, both in the
field for light and composition, and in the camp on image processing
with particular emphasis on the black and white conversion.

endless yellow savannah of the Mara, to the dusty plains of Amboseli
NP, passing through the lush Acacia forest around Lake Nakuru. We
shall concentrate on the predators and the great migration in the
Mara, on the Flamingos in Lake Nakuru NP e on the Elephants in
Amboseli NP.

We'll spend entire days with the cats, watching them play, hunt,
rest, defend their territory or their cubs. We shall also look for
the small cats, Caracals and Servals, less famous but equally
fascinating. We'll wait by the Mara river for the great crossings,
with the Crocodiles waiting and the tension of this amazing natural
spectacle.

the lake or in the Acacia forest searching for the most dramatic
images.
